The SCANDINOFF brand was founded in 2020 in the Czech Republic. In 2024, a Dutch investor joined the company, and part of the activities were moved to the Netherlands.
Initially, the brand focused on handmade Viking Seax knives. The great interest and popularity of these knives led to the establishment of the SCANDINOFF 3D design studio, which began creating its own visualizations, 3D models, and production drawings of other knife types, shaped after the Viking Seax but adapted to modern requirements for use and maintenance. Over time, other knife types were developed, focusing not only on preserving design but also on durability and utility value. This enabled the brand to move toward its own ideas and designs, as demonstrated by the Vario knife, an outstanding universal design created by the SCANDINOFF design studio.

The designer of SCANDINOFF knives is Sven Värmsson.
SCANDINOFF exclusively uses Scandinavian steels for blade production.
