The SCANDINOFF brand was founded in 2020 in the Czech Republic. In 2024, a Dutch investor entered the company and part of the activities were moved to the Netherlands.
Initially, the brand focused on handmade knives like the Viking Seax. The great interest and popularity of these knives led to the establishment of the 3D design studio SCANDINOFF, which began to create its own visualizations, 3D models and production drawings of other types of knives, based on the shape of the Viking Seax, but adapted to modern requirements for the use and maintenance of the knife. As time went on, other types of knives were created that no longer emphasised only the preservation of design, but also the durability and utility value of the knives. All of this has allowed the brand to move towards its own ideas and designs, as evidenced, for example, by this folding pocket knife or the Vario knife, an outstanding universal design created by the SCANDINOFF design studio.

The design of SCANDINOFF knives was created by designer Sven Värmsson.
SCANDINOFF uses mainly Scandinavian steel for the blades.

1001 DURABILITY TEST – guarantee of functionality

In the 1001 VITALITY TEST, one knife is randomly selected from each production batch and is opened and closed for 1001 times. This test demonstrates the smooth operation of all mechanical parts, the stability of the open and closed blade positions, and the durability of our ceramic bearings.
