The SCANDINOFF brand was founded in 2020 in the Czech Republic. In 2024, a Dutch investor entered the company, and part of the activities were moved to the Netherlands.
Initially, the brand focused on handmade Viking Seax knives. The great interest and popularity of these knives led to the establishment of the SCANDINOFF 3D design studio, which began creating its own visualizations, 3D models and production drawings of other types of knives, based on the shape of the Viking Seax, but adapted to modern requirements for use and maintenance of the knife. Over time, other types of knives were created that no longer emphasized only the preservation of design, but also the durability and utility value of the knives. All this allowed the brand to move on to its own ideas and designs, as evidenced, for example, by this folding pocket knife or the Vario knife, an excellent universal design created by the SCANDINOFF design studio.

The author of the SCANDINOFF knife design is designer Sven Värmsson.
For the production of blades, SCANDINOFF fundamentally uses Scandinavian steel.

1001 DURABILITY TEST – a guarantee of functionality

During the 1001 VITALITY TEST, one knife is randomly selected from each production series and opened and closed 1001 times. This test proves the smooth operation of all mechanical parts, the stability of the open and closed position of the blade, and the durability of our ceramic bearings.
